| Dr.
Webbink has been a devoted philanthropist throughout her life. She has
provided generously in the form of donations and services to many
organizations over the years, including:
- Recipient of the Devastatingly Local Award from Capital One Bank for her outstanding charity work in the community (2012)
- Chair of Board of Directors of the Prejudice Institute 501(c)(3)
- Work with the Lazarus Foundation, providing free computers to children
- Regular donations of food to So That Others Might Eat
- Founded the Prince Georges County Free Clinic in Seat Pleasant, Maryland, 1970
- For the last 25 years has donated to many programs that provide food for the homeless
- Volunteer tutoring, after school classes, parties and gifts for The Boys and Girls Clubs
- Extensive contributions to the Brookmont Community Church
- Founded and organized “Sludge Stoppers,” a local environmental protection campaign
- Donations to numerous charities, hospitals, and outreach organizations
- Free tutoring, donations and holiday parties for children and families in Section 8 housing
- Donations of free refurbished computers to children in need, for Title 1 Schools in:
- Baltimore
- Prince Georges County, Maryland
